Night Train, Cold Beer

Some of the stories in Guinotte Wise's Night Train, Cold Beer have been in literary reviews, some haven't, none are more than a year or two old. Situations and locales range from a mystical bull ride in Oklahoma, to nervous infidelity in Ohio; pot-growing on government land in Kansas to a hurricane approaching Louisiana; a young boy besotted with a Kansas City calendar girl to a father/daughter first-time meeting in Los Angeles. The collection won The H. Palmer Hall Award and publication by Pecan Grove Press in 2013. A second collection is forthcoming, titled Holes in the Ceiling
